The battery is placed on the front of the unit, no need to peel the thermometer off.

Directions for Use

Step 1: Press and hold the ‘SET’ button until the number at the bottom left of the screen flashes.
Step 2: Press the ‘UP’ or ‘Down’ button to select your maximum desired tank temperature, and press the ‘SET’ button to save it. The maximum temperature setting temperature range is 32℉-98℉.
Step 3: Then the number at the bottom right of the screen flashes, press the ‘UP’ or ‘Down’ button to select your minimum desired tank temperature. The minimum temperature setting temperature range is 32℉-97℉.
Step 4: Press the ‘SET’ button to save, and complete.
